To hell with middlemen

Here I go, turn the page.

In a surprising turn of events I watched Lage Raho Munna Bhai today. It was funny in bits, but basically the second in the line of pedantic, preachy Hindi movies I’ve watched (the previous being Rang De Basanti). It’s quite hilarious, how all the people who watch these movies go home feeling nice about themselves, or about the issues the movies address (the sorry pathetic state whatever whatnot), or convinced they’re going to Do Something About It just like he/she/it did. And then they wake up the next morning and push those stupid space monkey buttons. Ha.

Almost bought Fight Club (did you know there’s a book?), but it was too expensive, and I decided to borrow it from the student library in college (some good things to be said about its span). Really wish I could’ve read the book before watching the movie.

More humour — the latest Microsoft Media Center Edition ad speaks of getting back control of your media.

Need to get down to studying in the near future.

Read Nabokov’s A Russian Beauty. Quite … nice. Lolita up next, possibly.
