Gentoo’s website is definitely going to be looking better.
I missed Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia yesterday. Wonder if I might’ve liked it. The price one pays for not reading the newspaper (gently poking guilt into at least one reader, I think grin).
Bought “The Very Best of MTV Unplugged – Vol 3″ a while back. Generally decent, though I disliked Paul Simon’s cheerful rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.
Headed to the Strand Book Festival today. My wallet will be locked up before I enter. Unless … yaaargh!

Somehow the older website looks more cleaner. Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pandit Jasraj’s jugalbandi was really awesome. I stayed back to listen to Dhol Foundation’s maiden performance in India. more here
The Strand Book Festival was frankly disappointing. I have seen much bigger and better. Also the collection of books was pretty poor, especially the non-fiction section. I couldn’t find Suketu Mehta’s Maximum city or Naked Economics. Me and f3ew did pick up quite a few books though.
The Strand sale has been quite a let down this time. I didn’t find anything I wouldn’t have in any other book store. Even their sale prices aren’t much different from the prices at their shop.
It was okay — my expectations weren’t too high after last year. Just got one book by Ray Bradbury (more on this later) :)
Strand is a noob bookstore :p Premier is where it’s at!
I never go to Strand unless it’s the Festival. Usually go to Blossom and scrounge for second handers — too poor for anything else.
Heh yep, it’s me. Scooping out the blogging scene, as it were :p
Got some time on our hands, have we? :D
